They are made from 38.1 x 2.5mm "Rollcage Tubing" bent by Tube Benders East Tamaki, who are the bending pros. Base plates, Cleats and bolts all to the same spec as the cusco / safety 21 cage that my car was certed with. Reading through the MSNZ requirements seems like they might require sandwich plates bolted from the underside of the wheel arches. Could also add a horizontal bar between the back stays for harnesses to get the angle correct, as opposed to bolting to floor.
Hey Man,
ReplyDeleteAre they to MSNZ spec so I could use at club days/speed events?
Cheers,
HT

ReplyDeletehow much for just the main hoop without plates on the bottom or any tabs welded on?
ReplyDelete38.1 x 2.5 ($150) or 44.5 x 2.5mm ($175)
ReplyDeleteCurrently MSNZ requires min 38.1mm for the main hoop. From Sept 2011, 44.5mm will be required.
HT... do you want to homologate?
ReplyDeleteGraham... Will you build a roll bar or cage? Hoop sits further back for cage.
