Replaced the reso with some 304 stainless straight pipe and a lobster tip, fitted up my FL rear bumper and then melted it. Picked up a spare 4.3 : 1 ratio diff to test. Hopefully will allow it to rev right in the meat of the power band in third at Hamptons. Worth a shot anyway. Sprayed it with metallic gunmetal. Looks way better than rust.
